Course Description

This course is designed to enable students explore the application of industrial and organizational psychology principles to human resources. Students will examine topics such as: job design, job analysis, employee selection, job placement, training, and employee development Students will also explore the topics of performance appraisals, performance management, and legal and ethical considerations in human resources. Students will have the opportunity to learn and implement personnel psychology principles through case studies, research, and projects. Students will learn and demonstrate their ability to conduct research, a brief literature review, and utilize a personnel selection test battery on an organization of choice by the end of the module. 3 Units
