Course Description

This course emphasizes the theoretical and practical applications of the available body of research in marriage and family therapy as well as the place of research on psychotherapy in general. It provides the student with an introduction to a variety of qualitative designs, statistical measures, conclusions, and provides basic skills in program evaluations. This course is a study of a variety of procedures, therapeutic techniques, and concerns, to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to provide effective psychotherapy to counsel with children and adolescents. 3 Units
