Course Description

This course is designed to deepen the student’s knowledge and application of effective theories for counseling, emphasizing the various family systems theories. The student will demonstrate the ability to choose and implement appropriate marriage and family theories and techniques to a variety of counseling situations and diverse people groups. The student will also demonstrate the ability to apply theory to case conceptualizations and treatment plans, appropriate to the client’s culture and value system. 3 Units
