The Divergent Worldview Paradigm as Hermeneutical Foundation for Hebrew Cosmology
This is a paper presented by Dr. Joe R. Miller at the 2018 SCS Symposium for doctoral students on his proposal for the Divergent Worldview Paradigm. The DWP contends that the essential properties of Hebrew cosmology (e.g. transcendent personal monotheism, creation ex nihilo, cosmological contingency, ethics as a form of religious worship, the sacredness of human life, and the recognized significance of historical progress) are distinct from ANE mythologies and similar only in its accidental properties and aligns with the Dialogue Model of science and religion.

Christological Doxology Through Suffering: A Hermeneutical Case Study of John 9 Concerning Physical Handicaps
This is a paper presented by Professor Cory Marsh at the 2018 SCS Symposium for doctoral students on his thesis that a consistently literal, grammatical-historical interpretation of John 9:2–4 reveals that God purposely ordained the man’s blindness—and by extension, all congenital physical handicaps endured by believers—as a catalyst carrying a doxological intention and function.
