THE COLLEGE AT SCS
We produce college graduates who are academically and functionally prepared to engage our world as ambassadors of Jesus Christ through a developed understanding of the Bible as God’s inerrant Word. SCS offers both On Campus and Online Biblical Studies Degrees.
“At Southern California Seminary we believe that the Bible is foundational to a well-rounded education. Therefore, we don’t just use Scripture to support our beliefs, we use it to form our beliefs. At SCS you will become better equipped to understand our world and your place in it, and you’ll develop the skills necessary for a lifetime of ministry.” – Dean of Bible & Theology, James Fazio
Associate of Arts in Christian Ministry (AACM)
The curriculum leading to the Associate of Arts in Christian Ministry (AACM) degree is a 60-unit course of instruction designed to give students a basic biblical and theological foundation in preparation for a wide variety of Christian ministries. By taking 12 units each trimester, the program can be completed in about two years. The AACM degree is not available to international students in the Korean and Spanish languages.
Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies (BABS)
The curriculum leading to the BABS degree is a 120-unit course of instruction designed to develop Christian character, a sound knowledge of the English Bible, and the skills appropriate for ministry in a local church, mission field, or other Christian ministry. By taking 12 units each trimester, the program can be completed in four years. Students who have earned an Associates degree may request to have their transcript reviewed to see if they qualify for the AA/AS to Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. A minor provides a structured selection of courses to augment or complement the student’s major by broadening a student’s academic experience or serving as preparation for a specific career.
