Biography
Cory Marsh is Professor of New Testament at SCS. A committed churchman, Cory is passionate about restoring the “pastor-scholar” role and is a four-time graduate of SCS: BA in Biblical Studies (summa cum laude); Master of Arts in Biblical Studies; Master of Divinity (academic distinction); and Master of Theology (academic distinction). Additionally, Cory received the Ph.D. in Biblical Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO under the supervision of Andreas J. Köstenberger. Cory has also served in various pastoral ministry roles at local churches teaching the Word of God in congregational, small group, and evangelistic settings. A frequent conference speaker and published author, Dr. Marsh’s research interests are in the fields of biblical theology, Johannine literature, and hermeneutical theory. He is a member of The Evangelical Theological Society, The Evangelical Philosophical Society, The Society of Biblical Literature, Institute for Biblical Research, and the Council on Dispensational Hermeneutics. He is also a founding member of the Creation Theology Society, as well as the Center for Dispensational Thought.
Cory is married to his high school sweetheart, Shannan. Cory and Shannan are members of Revolve Bible Church in San Juan Capistrano, CA, a local church dedicated to the exposition of Scripture, where Cory serves as Scholar in Residence.
