Whenever I read a book on matters about which sincere believers have sometimes differed with passion, I ask myself these questions: Is it thoughtful and fair minded? Does it aim to build up, rather than tear down? Is it marked by charity as well as clarity? In my view, Dr. Miller’s study scores high in all these ways. I commend it as worthy of serious consideration.
