Minimum qualifications include:
•Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling or Psychotherapy is preferred.
•Applicants with a professional California state license. All applicants must be eligible to register or hold professional license.
•One year of experience working in a clinical setting, preferably a residential setting.
New Directions for Women is Orange County’s oldest gender separate addiction treatment center. New Directions for Women offers inpatient and outpatient treatment services to women, pregnant women and women with children. New Directions for Women is a non-profit organization.
New Directions for Women is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Primary Therapist. The ideal candidate is highly organized, ethical, with strong communication skills and strong professional boundaries. This position is a full-time position and would be perfect for a candidate with prior experience in a residential treatment center
Conduct individual sessions with patients on caseload.
Conduct Process Group and other group therapy.
Conduct experiential therapy groups.
Responsible for insurance authorizations and reviews.
Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment health screening (urine drug screen and TB test).
