Over the last five years, Dr. Julie Hayden has served with distinction as the Dean of the Graduate School of Behavior Sciences at Southern California Seminary. During this time Dr. Hayden has lead her department in expanding an effective and Christ-honoring program training people for excellence in professional counseling practice based on best practices in the field of psychology, and most importantly, sound biblical principles.
Dr. Hayden’s professional and ministry involvement continues to advance, she will be transitioning to serving as faculty at SCS over the summer, and we look forward to her continuing impact as one of our outstanding professors.
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Elenwo Ph.D., Psy.D. (ABD), as interim Dean of the Graduate School of Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Elenwo has served as professor and Psychology Department Chair at Southern California Seminary for the past two years. Born in Nigeria, Dr. Elenwo has lived in Scotland and England, where she did her early Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies. After moving to the United States in 1982 she received her Ph.D. from USIU. Elizabeth then came to Southern California Seminary and completed both her Master of Arts in Christian Ministries (MACM), and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP). She is currently finishing her Dissertation for her second Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D) from SCS.
We are grateful for the amazing team of administrators, faculty, and students that God has assembled at SCS, and look forward to the days ahead as we continue to serve Him together.
