Biography

Dr. Kaye Lawrence is a Psychological Assistant (PSB32453) supervised by Dr. Melinda Reinicke. She has completed her doctorate in psychology and will soon take the examination for state licensure as a psychologist. With training in both clinical and educational counseling, Dr. Lawrence has taught in the United States, Mexico, Romania and India about Educational Psychology (Psycho Pedagogy). She founded an ongoing counseling program and a Dyslexic lab in Mexico which helps children and adolescents learn to compensate and live with their difficulty.

Dr. Lawrence’s counseling specialization is attachment disorders and adoption issues, depression and anxiety. Children, adolescents, and adults. Healing from sexual, verbal and physical abuse. EMDR for post-traumatic stress disorders. Helping parents and their children with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and learning disabilities. Marital therapy. She and her and husband are founders of a Special Education School and Home for Disabled and Handicapped Children in Mexico.

Dr. Lawrence has a background of 35 years working with children, teens and women who have experienced trauma due to sexual assault or prostitution. She has facilitated several conferences educating professionals and parents about Learning Disabilities, Discipline, Sexual Abuse, Adoption Issues, and Attachment Disorder, PTSD, and Health Alternatives and Nutrition. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is particularly aware of issues affecting Latino families.
