Didaktikos (Greek for “able to teach,” 1 Tim 3:2) is a peer-reviewed journal of theological education published by the maker of Logos Bible Software, Faithlife, through Lexham Press. The journal is written by professors, for professors, who teach in biblical, theological, and related disciplines and who help train pastors and other ministry leaders. Its aim is to provide a forum for encouraging and supporting professors in their academic calling and personal ministries.
Dr. Marsh’s article, “The Hermeneutics of Moral Injury: Trauma Studies Offer Fresh Insights on Mental Anguish in Scripture,” is featured in the “Currents” section of Didaktikos, Sep 2021. The article surveys the current field of trauma studies called “Moral Injury,” and promotes cross-disciplinary engagement with biblical studies. Moral injury helps illumine cases of mental trauma and suffering in Scripture that reach beyond answers offered by retribution theology or simple sin / forgiveness paradigms.
