Biography

Dr. Miller is currently Dean of Online Learning & Instructional Technology and Professor of Applied Theology & Leadership. Dr. Miller has a diverse educational background earning his B.A.E. from the Pennsylvania State University, M.Div from Oral Roberts University, and D.Min from Biola University and most recently finished an M.A.S.R. from SCS. Joe is currently pursing his PhD in ethics.. He offers students 20+ years of pastoral experience (including planting 2 churches) and has authored multiple books on church leadership, history, biblical theology, and most recently a book on shared leadership through eldership teams titled, “Elders Lead a Healthy Family. You can find more on his Amazon.com Author’s Page.

Joe and his wife Suzanne have been married since 1996 and enjoy the sun and surf in San Diego with their three amazing sons.

About the SCS Faculty Senate

 

Faculty Senate is involved with making recommendations to the Academic Affairs Committee on the formulation of curricular and academic matters; including: curriculum changes such as course additions, modifications and deletions, divisional additions and deletions, and reviews guidelines regarding biblical integration, the school’s philosophical position on academic freedom, academic standards for the school, faculty policies and similar matters. The Senate has three elected officers: a chair, vice-chair and secretary and written bylaws. It holds meetings of the faculty at least once per module.
