Conference Speakers

  • Kevin Anderson, Ph.D.

    Kevin Anderson received a Ph.D. in microbiology from Kansas State University, and was a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois, Urbana.  Subsequently, he was a university professor, where he taught graduate level courses in genetics and molecular biology. He also served as the major professor for several masters and doctorial students. Later he was the director of laboratory research for a biotech company.  He is currently the Director of the Van Andel Creation Research Center (funded by the Creation Research Society), and is a past senior editor of the Creation Research Society Quarterly.

    John Baumgardner, Ph.D.

    Dr. Baumgardner has a B.S. in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University, a M.S. in electrical engineering from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in geophysics and space physics from UCLA. His Ph.D. research included the development of a 3D finite element model of the earth’s interior, now known as TERRA, specifically to investigate the physical aspects of the Genesis Flood. He is generally credited with providing the primary original research undergirding the concept of catastrophic plate tectonics in connection with Noah’s Flood.

  • Randy Guliuzza, M.D.

    Dr. Randy Guliuzza is a captivating speaker who presents well-documented and often humorous scientific and biblical talks to audiences of all ages. He has represented the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) in several scientific debates at secular universities and in other forums. Dr. Guliuzza has a B.S. in Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, a B.A. in theology from Moody Bible Institute, an M.D. from the University of Minnesota, and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. Dr. Guliuzza served nine years in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps and is a registered Professional Engineer. In 2008, he retired as Lt. Col. from the U.S. Air Force, where he served as Flight Surgeon and Chief of Aerospace Medicine. He is the author of Made in His Image: Examining the complexities of the human body; and Clearly Seen: Constructing Solid Arguments for Design.

  • Paul A. Nelson, Ph.D.

    Paul A. Nelson is a philosopher of biology who has been involved in the intelligent design debate internationally for over two decades.  His grandfather, Byron C. Nelson (1893-1972), a theologian and author, was an influential mid-20th century dissenter from Darwinian evolution.  After Paul received his B.A. in philosophy with a minor in evolutionary biology from the University of Pittsburgh, he entered the University of Chicago, where he received his Ph.D. (1998) in the philosophy of biology and evolutionary theory.  He is currently a Fellow of the Discovery Institute and Adjunct Professor in the Master of Arts Program in Science & Religion at Biola University.
